This page is for the coincidences and well, trends that I've noticed within the books. I don't know if they have any relevance, ideas are welcome!
Dudley is descibed in Book 1 as having "Small, watery blue eyes."
Peter Pettigrew is described in Book 3 as having "Small, watery blue eyes."
Hagrid tells Harry in book 1 that Voldemort killed The Bones'. Susan Bones parents? Relatives?
Fawkes the Phoenix - Burns when its time to die and is reborn from the ashes.
Guy Fawkes - Ringleader of the Gunpowder plot on 5th November 1605. A plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Didn't succed of course and was burned at the stakes. An effigy of him is burned every year on bonfire night - 5th November.

We learn that, in the past, the Dursleys have given Harry an old pair of Uncle Vernon's socks for his birthday.
